Rev. Stephen Fetter -- Minister

Steve 2

Steve is a graduate of Vancouver School of Theology (1987) and has been minister at Forest Hill United Church since November 2002. These days he keeps thinking about ways to connect with people who describe themselves as "spiritual but not religious." He has a passion for cutting through traditional language and ritual to find ways to help people live out a spirituality that helps us get through the ordinary ups and downs of life.

When he's not working, Steve enjoys gardening, fixing his car, renovating his house, and messing around with computers. He has three children -- all grown now and out of the house, so he and his wife Linda are enjoying having time together!

Steve also works for the General Council Office of The United Church of Canada, where he designs and manages continuing education programs for clergy and other church leaders across the country. You can read more about his work there at the website he created: www.united-in-learning.com.

Nancy Singla -- Music Director

NancyNancy Singla, www.nancysingla.com, has been the music director at Forest Hill United Church since 2010. She completed her Master's degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Toronto and Undergraduate studies in Vocal and Piano performance from the University of Victoria and the Victoria Conservatory of Music.

Nancy is the Founder and director of the Cantala Women’s choir and Chamber Ensemble, and has an active piano and voice studio in addition to her work at Forest Hill. Nancy brings a unique approach and knowledge to choral conducting. With her experience in vocal pedagogy she understands that learning how to sing is an important part of the choral singing experience.

Ann

Ann Fraser -- Church School Coordinator

Ann oversees our programming for children and youth, which has grown and divided as more families have joined our church. This Fall she'll be taking over leadership of the youth program, and overseeing the work of her colleagues who teach the toddlers and children's classes.

Ann is a certified Early Childhood Educator, and has additional training in working with children with special needs.

When she's not working she loves crafts, knitting, organizing, and playing with kids.
